Auto Racing – 1987 – Indy 500 – Jack Arute Interviews Danny Sullivan After Race Day Ends Premature

Danny Sullivan is an American former race car driver…..who earned 17 wins in the CART Indy Car World Series….including the 1985 Indianapolis 500….plus Sullivan won the 1988 CART Championship….while placing 3rd in points in 1986….as Danny Sullivan also scored a victory in IROC.

For 1984, Sullivan returned to North America, where he competed in the CART PPG Indy Car series…while first landing a ride at Shierson Racing….after which he won three races including the Pocono 500…. and  placing 4th in points….then in 1985….he moved to Penske Racing….which is where he won the  1985 Indianapolis 500…..which is known in auto racing lore as the “spin and win”….which is one of the most legendary moments in Indy 500 history.
