Music – 1983 -Rapper Mel Allen – Baseball Is The Place To Be And MLB Is The Place For Me

Talk about a video “pearl”….could it get any better than this video…..as legendary sportscaster Mel Allen becomes a music rapper long before rap became the rage of a generation…..albeit Mel did more      “rhyming” than “rapping”…..be it as it may, it is still a rare treasure…..which brings back lots of memories of playing “stickball” in the streets”….and “sandlot games at the school backstop”….while the truth be known, we at ImaSportsphile don’t really know if the kids play baseball like that anymore…..but back in the day this video was produced….and further back in the day when our Bone Daddy was growing up….every boy growing up in West Texas knew all about stickball” in the streets”….and “sandlot games at the school backstop”…..cuz all they really wanted to know was what time was the game starting.
