DOG ASIDE:
Having been an Astros fan since 1962….when they came into MLB….along with the New York Mets, as a matter of fact….but, BD was not going to come into New York City like a lamb…. rather more like a lion…an Astros lion. Anyway, he came prepared with t-shirt to be wore at all three of Game 3, 4 and 5….with his Astros shirt for Game 3 with Bob Knepper pitching…..his Great Scott shirt for Game 4 with ace Mike Scott toeing the rubber….and his Don’t Mets With Texas shirt for Game 5 with Nolan Ryan on the hill….and he wore each shirt and his Astros fan attitude every day…..the whole day….never letting up one his hoots and hollers for the Stros….so much so, that his trip companion Dino was afraid the boys from Texas were going to incur some bodily harm…..which probably crossed the minds of more than one New Yorker.
