My Life With A Sportsphile
I understand that the reason you ever clicked onto my page in the first place was because you were either curious about who in the world is Ima Sportsphile…..or cuz you wanted to know what a Sportsphile is?….maybe it was because you heard from someone else about this wonderful sports museum and sports, comedy and music video library….or possibly from a friend who just likes my collage of stories appearing within L E’s Stories section of the museum. Regardless of why you arrived here….I want to welcome you again to 60+ years of collecting sports memorabilia coupled with the stories surrounding all the live sporting events attended….plus the hours spent in search of specific pieces of sports memorabilia that it took to acquire this collection. When you add to the pot all of the time, energy and money that it took just to accomplish what is being done here….it is a site of epic proportion and intense perseverance. The simple results of the uncensored passion and enthusiasm of a single Sportsphile will be unveiled over the rest of my life….which I hope is still some years away….for then and only then will you really appreciate what I am attempting to do here. In fact, if you read enough of my stories….you just might realize that you’re a Sportsphile too….cuz me thinks there’s a great deal more Sportsphiles out there than just Bone Daddy and me.
My given name is L E….but I am known by many HUMANS as La Diabla. Since I won’t to tell you why…you’ll have to figure that one out on your own….but you must continue to read on if you want to do that….cuz I am what I am….and my writings prove that out. It is my quest herewith to tell you about my lifelong companionship with a Sportsphile. As I’ve said before and I’m gonna say it again….I am the creator of the word Sportsphile. I am the 1st in print to ever use the word….and we all know that HUMANKIND believes the written word more than they believe the spoken word.
My Bone Daddy is a self proclaimed sports enthusiasts….a serious lifelong collector of sports memorabilia….and a raconteur of the highest order….which is by far my favorite quality of his. That boy can flat spin a yarn. In the 115 years I’ve spent with him….I have heard every one of them more than once. Being at his side all these years has made me a Sportsphile and raconteur in my own right….after all, every memory in my Chiweenie memory bank is dealing with sports, comedy and music in some way or another. So, you just never know what I am going to display when it comes to pieces in Bone Daddy’s collection or videos from his video library. All I can tell you is that you better review every post that I make….cuz this lil ole Chiweenie loves to just surprise HUMANS….as I get a kick out of HUMAN responses to being surprised.

Remember, we dogs think differently than you HUMANS….which means that it is very easy to catch you folks by surprise…..so you don’t want to miss any click in every post that I make…..cuz I am a Sportsphile too…..just like my Bone Daddy….and a story teller of the highest order due to having listened to BD tell me stories for the past 115 years.
Every visitor to my site will have an opportunity to prove that they too are a Sportsphile….as the site develops. Since BD has been attending sporting events for the better part of the past six decades….I am the only person in the world who is able share the colorful details of these trips along with the events attended that provided incredible displays of pure uncensored athleticism….which often proved to be the by-products of the achievements of HUMAN obsession coupled with God given abilities and talents. Having watched literally thousands of live sports on television myself….as a fan sitting next to BD in and of itself gave me the opportunity to see what HUMANS can do when they apply their talents and focus to an athletic or sporting endeavor. But the best of it all for me was founded in the discovery of my unique talent as given me by God Dog when he gave me Bone Daddy….for simply put….it was his stories of all those magical moments that became the stories behind all the characters who were involved in developing those tall tales to be told. I’m not sure that the word “character” really is a significant description for many of the HUMANS that are in these stories….but I can say this with great honesty….Bone Daddy is a character that is bigger than life in many ways….not to mention that he is a bigger than most HUMANS….at least in our lives….cuz from this lil ole Chiweenie’s field of view of being only 6 inches off the ground….my daily view of Bone Daddy amounts a view of a large underbelly…..with a voice that lives and resonates above the large soft underbelly. That thought lends me to say that everything about BD is vast. Now keep in mind that is of course only coming from the perspective of a lil ole Chiweenie looking straight up….that’s right…..I am talking underbelly….cuz all I can really see is a vast amount of underbelly. I think I just repeated myself? I have to say this though….Bone Daddy carries that large underbelly in such a way that he is reminiscent of Santa Claus…..for if I had lived with the jolly HO HO HO instead of BD….it seems to me that all I would see with him would be a similar large underbelly that jiggles when he laughs…HO HO HO….just like Bone Daddy. Can you say Devilish Bitch?!! However, since he has to bend over to give me pets….that’s when I get to see his face…..as it is a rather nice change from my normal view….with a whole lot more “character”. I will say this though….for as big a BD is….he is way bigger in so many other HUMAN ways….but that in and of itself is a whole nuther story. All I can say is that this unique HUMAN is bigger than life in so many ways….and I will try my best to make this web page a continuation of the vast capabilities of my one and only Bone Daddy.
I guess that the best part of all of this rambling on my part…..is that it won’t be difficult for me to come up with stories to write…..videos to show….memorabilia in his collection to share….cuz I have been given a task of monumental proportions…..considering he has shared literally thousands of stories with me about how he acquired various pieces in his collection of 15,000+ pieces…..and his video library of sports, comedy and music consist of a total of 2300 hours of video tape. So, my view of his large underbelly has been expanded significantly by the amount of content he has put at my disposal.
I have said all of the above to say this….I have spent my entire 115 years on this Earth with a Sportsphile. Therefore, virtually every recollection that I have in my memory pool is a result of something to do about sports. I’m talking live sports, televised sports, video taped sports, conversations about sports, sports news, sports talk, sports debate….I’ve even seen what I would call a fair share of “sport sex”. I have always been the loyal companion at his side or close to his bed….literally becoming a Sportsphile by osmosis….so, why do you think he gave me all of his content and asked me to be his SHOWDOG? Simply cuz he knew I’d come up with something like Ima Sportsphile to show off his life’s work….which in turn gives me the ability to WELCOME YOU to a wonderful private sports museum and video library that dates back now “60 years and beyond”

The past 115 years have been a wonderful ride for me….cuz I got to spend it with Bone Daddy doing what he does best with his God given talents. Along the way, I became a certified Sportsphile in my own right. Most of all, it has given me a memory chest chocked full of wonderful collectibles and stories of a time that passed so quickly. The contents within these pages will document the life and times of The Baby Boomer Generation….who grew up on sex, drugs and rock n roll…..for it was a time in the history of the USA that continues to get buried deeper in the history of HUMANKIND as technology takes HUMANS faster and faster into the information age. I wonder if the HUMANS being born today will even know much about the Baby Boomer generation….where they came from…. what they stood for…..what they sacrificed….and what they created…..for it seems to me that the Baby Generation has simply morphed into the children of the Now Generation children’s “Grannys and Pops”.

The museum includes 15,000 and counting pieces of sports memorabilia covering nearly 65 years of collecting from 1950 to 2015. The video library provides a cross section of HUMAN history from 1950 – 1995 including 2300 hours of timeless sports, comedy and music. Shoot, BD even captured many of the TV commercials. L E’s Stories Section will provide a pretty good snapshot of the Baby Boomer generation. Maybe this museum and video library will become a reference destination for anyone who wants to do any research on the Baby Boomer generation in the future.
Throughout my 115 years spent with Bone Daddy, the best part of it all has been the simple joy that I have experienced when I was being told the stories that I get to share with all ya’ll….cuz they were told to me by a raconteur and story teller of the purist kind….cuz nobody can tell a story quite like Bone Daddy. I just love the way his face lights up just before the first word of his story comes out. I love the way he laughs at his own jokes….cuz he would always laugh like it was the first time he ever heard the punch line. In BD’s words….“funny is funny….and it will be funny today… tomorrow….and forever….cuz funny is as funny does….it makes people laugh.” So, I promise to make you laugh every time you click on to read any of L E’s Stories.
I hope Ima Sportsphile will always provide a spark of fond memories with many sports fans all over the world. What I hope happens as a result of all my efforts….at the risk of exposing myself all over the world….is that my content will stimulate you to share your memories, pictures, videos and stories of your experiences in the world of sports with me. You just might be a Sportsphile too. I am telling you now, there will be a day that comes in the not too distant future whereby if you can pass my “Are you a Sportsphile tests”….like the one below…..I will provide you with your very own Ima Sportsphile Certification and official Ima Sportsphile T-shirt.
