Auto Racing – 1987 – Indy 500 – A J Foyt Makes 30th Ceremonial Walk From Gasoline Alley To His Car

A. J. Foyt is an American race car driving legend….who was born and raised in Houston, TX…..which makes his a “home boy” here at ImaSportsphile….who is considered to be one of the best American pilots in history…..as he won the Indianapolis 500 on four occasions….and was the first to achieve that feat…. which was tied with Al Unser Sr. on the day that Foyt made the walk seen in this video herewith….and was tied again in 1991 by Rick Mears.  However, this day would not prove to be very successful for Indy 500 legend…..as he would be involved in a major wreck with Tommy Ellis and Greg Sacks…..which knocked him out of the race on this day.
