Driver of car # 87, Steve Chassey, started on row 11 in the 32nd pole position at the 1987 Indy 500…..as he continued to move up in the field into the 20th position in the race…..at the time of the interview by ABC’s Al Trautwig with his wife Gena during the race. Chassey’s story is told in another video seen in our Auto Racing section…. which is already posted….as his 9 year old son Chase tells the story of this driver and his team…..so, to say that Indy 500 racing is a family affair would be an understatement….and the fact is, both of these videos regarding car # 87 are well worth the price of admission.
