Auto Racing – 1987 – Indy 500 – The Day Ends For Roger Penske Driver Danny Sullivan Highlights

Roger Penske Racing had three cars entered in the 1987 Indy 500….with drivers Rick Mears, Danny Sullivan and Danny Ongais, who wrecked in practice while receiving a concussion that knocked him our of the race….only to be replaced by Al Unser Sr in a back up car that had been in “dry storage” in a public display in some shopping center in the Midwest somewhere 3 days prior to race day. 

However, on race day….as seen in this video herewith…..one of the wings on Danny Sullivan’s race car flew off the car during the race…..which knocked Sullivan out of the race.
