Bone Daddy has been a Dallas Cowboy fan for a very long time….since the early 60’s….when QB Don Meredith was throwing bombs to Bullet Bob Hayers….so he never could really get his arms around the Houston Oilers…that at least was until The Tyler Rose….Earl Campbell the 1977 Heisman Trophy Winner from The University of Texas…..was drafted by the Houston Oilers….and one of the truly great running backs of all time…both college and pro….went to play for Coach Bum Phillips….from 1978 to 1984….and that’s when BD had to give the Oilers some love. Having had the distinct pleasure of watching Earl play for the Texas Longhorns….Bone Daddy made a point to go several live games in Houston to support Earl and the Oilers….in his rookie season of 1978….and that is the reason for these pieces of memorabilia.
