Boxing – 1964 – NBC Special Review – World Heavyweight Title Fight – Cassius Clay Vs Sonny Liston

There is really nothing more that I can add to what the content of this film covers the history that was made on February 25, 1964….when the 22 year old “Louisville Lip” Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. stepped into the boxing ring with the “Big Bad Bear” Sonny Liston….and less than one hour later, he “shocked the world”….and that is exactly what he did.

Outside of Bone Daddy’s POPS (Dad)….Muhammad Ali (former Cassius Clay) is his all time favorite athlete and hero….for many reasons that have been already covered in stories written about Ali for the myriad of Ali videos that we have here at ImaSportsphile…..so today, we are just going to let the video speak for itself….for this event is truly one of the most important events in US professional boxing history.  We don’t think we have a more entertaining video in our entire library than this one….ENJOY!!!
