Rockin Robin Blake was a really good professional boxer out of Leveland, Texas….who fought from 1981 to 1990….while establishing a career record of 33 wins with 21 by KO and 8 losses….in which he fought and won the USA Texas State Welterweight Title on two separate occasions….when in 1986 he beat Ezzard Charles Adams in a 7th round KO…..and against Javier Cerna in 1988, after winning by unanimous decision. Rockin Robin also fought IBF Welterweight Champ Jimmy Paul for his title in 1985….but lost by an 11th round TKO…..and then he fought Harold Brazier for the NABF Welterweight Title in 1988….while again losing by a 13th round TKO.
In this video herewith, ESPN’s Al Bernstein and Sam Rosen call the action as Robin Blake takes on South Korean J C Kim in Kim’s first and only professional bout….as the Korean decided that boxing was not going to be a good career path after losing on a 1st round TKO to Rockin Robin.
