Boxing – 1983 – Tim Ryan PostFight Interview With Winner Marvis Frazer After Defeating Joe Bugner

Marvis Frazier is the son of former heavyweight champion and Hall of Famer boxer, Smokin’ Joe Frazier….when he was at ringside for all of his father’s fights after the second Oscar Bonavena bout in December 1968….including the great wars with Muhammad Ali….which by the way, is the greatest of all “grudge fights” in the history of boxing…..as far as we are concerned here at ImaSportsphile.

Marvis and Smokin’ Joe put on two different four rounds exhibitions fighting each other in Rochester, New York, on December 3, 1976….and then again in 1977.  In this fight with Joe Bugner….for which he was interviewed in this video herewith….he soundly beat big Joe….who has been a top-quality heavyweight throughout his 30 year boxing career….in which he fought heavyweight world champions the likes of Jimmy Ellis, James “Quick” Tillis, Greg Page, James “Bonecrusher” Smith, Mike Weaver, The Greatest Muhammad Ali twice….and father, Smokin’ Joe Frazier…..now that’s a lot of World Champions…. with some pretty good paydays.
