In this video, NBC/s boxing broadcast team of Marv Albert and Dr. Ferdie Pacheco showcase the lighter side of boxing with humorous highlights from various training camps and bouts that produced “chuckles and belly laughs”. Comedian Jackie Mason kicks off this segment with his “one-five punch”….which is followed by comedian Hennie Youngman dropping a really good “one liner” regarding he and his wife….then actress Morgan Fairchild boosts Albert’s and Pacheco’s egos before the two highlight humorous moments that they have seen in boxing over the years.
The last 2 minutes of this video show some wonderful photos of many famous boxers like Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Joe Louis, Jersey Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Muhammad Ali, Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, George Foreman and Larry Holmes, et al…..which are put to Billy Joel’s music “Everybody Has A Dream”….which makes this a really special piece of video well worth the watch.
