This June 16, 1990 ten round heavyweight bout between George Foreman verses Adilson Rodrigues at Caesers Palace in Las Vegas….was Big George’ 3rd fight up to that point 1990….after defeating Gerry Cooney by 4th round KO in January….then defeating Mike Jaimeson by a 4th round TKO in April 1990….as Foreman would go on to fight two more time in 1990….while defeating Ken Lakusta by a 3rd round KO….followed by a 1st round KO of Terry Anderson in September of 1990….which meant that Big George had five heavyweight fights in 1990….with all being won by KO….and none lasting more than four rounds….and he did all of that at age 41 years old….while weighing 263 pounds.

By the time George Foreman would fight Evander Holyfield in April of 1991…..he had amassed a career record of 69 wins and 2 losses….and by the time November 5, 1994 rolled around….some 3 years and 10 fights later….George Foreman would win the WBA and IBF Heavyweight Title by defeating then champion Michael Moorer at age 45 years 299 days old.

Is there any wonder why we here at ImaSportsphile consider George Foreman to be one of our seven heavyweight boxing legends from The Golden Age of Boxing from 1964 – 1995….as he joins Ali, Frazier, Holmes, Tyson, Holyfield and Lennox Lewis with that honor.

  • The Murmanschanns, what a duo, I remember them from this show, the Muppets, Sesame Street and other shows. They are the most unique mime artists to grace this Earth. I thought they were amazing and these two routines prove it.
