Boxing – Heavyweight Champions – Muhammad Ali – Highlights – 1960 Cassius Clay Rome Olympics

DOG COMMENTARY:

In this Chiweenie Sportsphile’s humble opinion….the best of the best work done on the Olympics was Bud Greenspan’s “Olympiad Series”….and this short piece about the Olympics experience of Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. of Louisville, KY in the United States gives evidence of my opinion….for the entire Olympiad series makes the viewer feel like they are at the event live.

Bone Daddy’s record setting historic experience at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics….where he and his two “Olympic sojourners”…..Sky Pilot and Prince of Pleasure….as Olympic fans, attended a live event in every sport that was participated in at the Games….setting a “fandom record” that can only be tied by another Olympic fan…..never beaten.

Anyway, Bone Daddy swears that the Olympics exemplify the best of all things sports….athletes, competition, dreams, aspirations, sacrifices, playing by the rules, incredible athleticism….I could go on and on….cuz when you think about the unbelievable depth and breadth of sports….the Olympics takes all things sports to a whole new level….and proof that HUMANS from all over the world can come together under the umbrella of sport….while peacefully coexisting and learning that all competitors and fans are the same….regardless of how they look or how they speak…..and a common bond of LOVE for the sport can make eternal friends.
