Boxing – Highlights – 1980 Lightweight Bout – Aaron Pryor VS Julio Valdez – Exciting 4th Round TKO

DOG ASIDE:

On March 16, 1980, Aaron “The Hawk” Pryor entered the ring against Julio Valdez of Puerto Rico with a 22 – 0 record….as he made short order of Valdez with a 4th round TKO victory….as the 4th round highlights seen in this video herewith showed why many boxing affectionardos at the time felt like they were looking at the next legendary boxer of the golden age of boxing from 1964 – 1995….for this round of boxing is worth watching over and over again as The Hawk showed why he ended his professional career with a 39 – 1 record….for it was and still is a very exciting round of boxing…and well worth the watch.

Before Pryor got strung out on drugs….he would hold the WBA, the IBF and The Ring light welterweight title from 1980 to 1984…..when he was stripped of all his titles due to his failure of his required drug tests…..which was really sad….cuz The Hawk should have gone on to a long career had he not gotten the “monkey on his back”….but that never diluted his greatness….as this video so aptly reveals.
