One of the truly memorable movie scenes of all time was the “last supper for Painless the gas passer” for the M*A*S*H 4077th Army Medical Unit in the infamous movie M*A*S*H….when Painless the gas passer” was too depressed to live anymore….so Hawkeye Pierce (Don Sutherland) and Trapper John (Elliot Gould) devise a plan for his last supper before taking “the pill” that would provide an easy “transition into the beyond”….when after some “suggestive coercion” by Hawkeye of one of his favorite nurses who was departing M*A*S*H 4077th the following day…..who eventually chose to accompany Painless on his impending trip by the nurturing of sexy actress Jo Ann Pflug…. in a scene that can only be described as “deliciously delightfully hilarious and a bit sacreligious” ….with a smile delivered by Ms. Pflug as she gets in the helicopter that takes her away from the war that was priceless and unforgettable.
