In this 1983 HBO On Location comedy show with host Robert Klein….expands on the question “What would comedians do if they didn’t have relatives to pick on?” ….as Klein believes many great comedians would have been lost if they didn’t have their families to fall back on and pick at their shortcomings….and he provides significant evidence of this belief with footage of some of the greatest stand up comedians ever….as they talk about their families….including such comedic legends as Lily Tomlin, David Brenner, Steve Martin, Richard Pryor, Billy Crystal, Alan King and Phyllis Diller…..who all bring some of their best family jokes to bear.
