Every now and then I post a video that really tickles my funny bone….and this piece seen herewith of comedian Steve Martin expounding on the things that he is thankful for at Thanksgiving is one of those…. for I just can’t help it….every time I listen to it….I just burst into laughter….I mean, how can you not laugh at “I am thankful there is no such thing as a rectal barometer”!?!
Our Bone Daddy…..the original Sportsphile…..has always said that The Not Ready For Prime Time Players (Dan Akroyd, John Belushi, Bill Murray, Garrett Morris, Jane Curtain, Gilda Radner and Lorraine Newman) were the best comedy on television…..and no SNL group since can even hold a candle to the comedic talent that was showcased every Saturday night from 1975 to 1991….where comedian Steve Martin was the host on many occasions…..and we at ImaSportsphile are fortunate to have over 120 weekly SNL episodes from that golden age of comedy in our treasure chest of vintage memories….which are all to eventually be posted here at our site.
