This video provides one of those unexpected “spontaneous belly laughs”….as this woman in the crowd at a news conference of US President Ronald Reagan…..as she shouts out how she has dreamed for 10 years of years of becoming a millionaire…..and The Pres responds back to her….“Ten Years”. So, it becomes evident to this lil ole chiweenie Sportsphile….that real life is quite often far more hilarious than prepared comedy….which provides plenty of reason why old time comedians like Red Skelton, Jack Benny, George Burns and Gracy Allen and Jonathan Winters were funnier than so many others….cuz they used “real life humor” to generate “spontaneous belly laughs” . Anyway, this video is nothing less than “pure gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories….cuz it involves simple humor during a presidential news conference….and Not Necessarily The News obviously agrees with me on this….as they titled this piece Great Dates In History.
