Comedy – Comic Relief – Robin Williams & Whoopie Goldberg & Billy Crystal

DOG ASIDE:

Caryn Elaine Johnson (born November 13, 1955)….better known by her stage name Whoopi Goldberg…. is an American actress, comedian, and television host.  She has been nominated for 13 Emmy Awards for her work in television….and is one of the few entertainers who have won an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, an Oscar, and a Tony Award. She was only the second black woman in the history of the Academy Awards to win an acting Oscar.

William Edward “Billy” Crystal (born March 14, 1948) is an American actor, writer, producer, director, comedian, and television host.  He gained prominence in the 1970’s for playing Jodie Dallas on the ABC sitcom Soap….and became a Hollywood film star during the late 1980’s and 1990’s…while appearing in the critical and box office successes When Harry Met Sally… (1989), City Slickers (1991), and Analyze This (1999) and providing the voice of Mike Wazowski in the Monsters, Inc. franchise.  He has hosted the Academy Awards 9 times….beginning in 1990 and most recently in 2012….second only to that of Bob Hope, who hosted 19 times.

Robin McLaurin Williams (July 21, 1951 – August 11, 2014) was an American actor and comedian. Starting as a stand-up comedian in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid-1970’s….he is credited with leading San Francisco’s comedy renaissance. After rising to fame as Mork in the sitcom Mork & Mindy (1978–82)….he went on to establish a career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting….having won an Oscar for his performance in Mrs. Doubtfire.  He was known for his improvisational skills.

All three of these HUMANS have the talent to make people laugh….but in my lil ole Chiweenie opinion….it was their charitable work providing comic relief….that spoke of theirs hearts…..while displaying their talents….and just making people laugh.
