Cycling – 1986 – CBS John Tesh Interviews USA Greg LeMond After His Prologue In Tour De France

DOG ASIDE:

In 1986, USA Greg LeMond became the first non-European professional cyclist to win the Tour de France….then LeMond was accidentally shot with multiple pellets while hunting in 1987…..and missed the next two Tours…..only to return to the 1989 Tour…..while completing an improbable comeback by winning in dramatic fashion on the race’s final stage….then he successfully defended his title the following year…. by claiming his third and final Tour victory in 1990….which made LeMond one of only seven riders who have won three or more Tours.  He retired from competition in December 1994….and was inducted into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame in 1996.

We at ImaSportsphile are delighted to have the many various pieces of video footage of this legendary American cyclist…..as we consider each video of LeMond to be “nuggets of gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories.
