CBS sportscaster John Dockery provides the commentary for this video seen herewith….which covers Stage 10 of the 1987 Tour de France on the 54 mile course from Saumur to Futurosco in France….which features USA Andy Hampsten, FRA Charly Mottet and eventual Stage 10 winner IRE Stephen Roche.

Saumur is a community in the Maine-et-Loire region in western France….which is a historic town located between the Loire and Thouet rivers…..and is surrounded by the vineyards of Saumur itself….including  Chinon,  Bourgueil, Coteaux du Layon, etc…..which produce some of France’s finest wines.

Futuroscope or Parc du Futuroscope is a French theme park based upon multimedia, cinematographic futuroscope and audio-visual techniques…..which includes several 3D cinemas and a few 4D cinemas along with other attractions and shows….whereby some of which are the only examples in the world.  It is located in the region of Vienne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of Poitiers….including the communities of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Clan.  The park had 1.83 million visitors in 2015. In total, 50 million visitors have been to the park since it opened in 1987.
