The 6th Stage of the 1987 Tour de France covered the 106 miles from Strasbourg to Epinal….as a course that had a small mountain climb near the first part of the day’s race….and became a plains stage throughout the remainder of the day….in which SWI Erich Maechler maintained his yellow jersey…..as FRA Christophe Lavainne won the stage.
Christophe Lavainne was a French professional bicycle racer…..who was a two time French national cyclo-cross champion…..plus, as seen in this video herewith…..when he won his only stage race in his cycling career by winning Stage 6 of the 1987 Tour de France…..as CBS sportscaster Phil Liggett provides the commentary for the television audience.
