Figure Skating – 1986 – World Championship Ice Dance Competition – Gold Bestemianova + Bukin

DOG COMMENTARY:

This CBS Sports presentation of the 1986 World Championship Ice Dance Competition is brought to you by hosts John Tesh and Scott Hamilton….which showcases certainly the best Russian ice dance pair of all time…..Natalia Bestemianova + Andrei Bukin…..who certainly are on the top of the heap with folks like Britian’s Jayne Torvil + Christopher Dean….Canada’s Tessa Virtue + Scott Moir…..USA’s Judy Blumberg + Michael Seibert.

This CBS Sports coverage of the 1986 Figure Skating World Championship competition was hosted by John Tesh and Scott Hamilton from March 18 – 23 in Geneva, Switzerland….in an event where five of the top six ice dance pairs finishers were either Russian or American…..with Soviets pairs Natalia Bestemianova + Andrei Bukin taking gold, Marina Klimova + Sergei Ponomarenko winning silver and Natalia Annenko + Genrikh Sretenski coming in 4th place…..with Americans pairs Suzanne Semanick + Scott Gregory placing 5th….and Rene Roca + Donald Adair coming in 6th…..while Canada’s Tracy Wilson + Robert McCall was won the bronze.

From this lil ole chiweenie Sportsphile’s perspective…..I think I enjoy the ice dancing more than any other discipline in the world figure skating competitions….cuz I really love to dance and watch folks dance…. and it just seems to be that dance on ice is more serene and beautiful than on a dance floor…..so, for any and all fans of figure skating…..you will love this 1986 World Ice Dance Championships…..for it is just a joy to watch.
