Any time there is a video to post that features a sports legend interviewing a sports legend…..that is when you have what we call around here…..”Sportsphile Nirvana”…..cuz it just doesn’t get any better than this…..for on this video herewith….our viewers are truly blessed to have sportscasting legend Vin Scully…..an icon in Dodger Blue….conducting an introspective interview regarding what it is like from the standpoint of travelling on the PGA tour with golf legend Gary Player…..who is strapped with the challenge of traveling from his home in South Africa…..I mean…..at this point in his career he has put some six million miles on his golfbag…..dang, that is a lot of miles…..and we should know because Bone Daddy, the original Sportsphile, had a commercial pilot of 38 years, and he put on six million miles traveled “behind the yoke” during his career.
The best part of this video is the story of how his opportunity to travel became his education…..since his family could not afford for him to go to school…..which speaks volumes to why Gary Player was such a strict disciplinarian regarding his workout / physical training schedule that he probably still maintains today at 85 years old.
