Golf – 1986 – Kemper Open – Sudden Death 3rd Hole – Larry Mize + Greg Norman – With Pat Summerall

As the 1986 Kemper Open Golf Tournament moved into the 3rd hole of sudden death playoff between Larry Mize verses Greg Norman….it seems to be obvious that the first player to make a birdie would win…..and both players had makeable birdie putts….when Mize just lipped out on a 15 footer that kissed the lip of the hole as it slid past…..and that is when The Shark (Greg Norman) had a simple straight-in 8 foot putt to win the Kemper…..but his ball also just slid by the hole…..as the two contestants moved on to the 4th sudden death playoff hole….when the went back to the 16th hole, where the sudden death playoff started…..for this would be the third time on this round that the two would play the 16th hole….and that is when CBS sportscaster Pat Summerall would make the comment that the two players should know how to play the 16th by then.
