Golf – 1987 – Skins Game – Vin Scully Interviews Lee Trevino On Whether This Golf Course Is Too Hard

In this video herewith…..NBC’s Vin Scully, host for the 1987 PGA Skins Game featuring Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Fuzzy Zoeller and Lee Trevino…..provides the viewers with an insightful interview with The Supermex himself, Lee Trevino….as to whether this golf course at PGA Stadium West was too difficult of a course to play a skins match….to which Trevino said “NO”

Once again, Trevino was “right on” with his answer….cuz on this date, November 29, 1987…..and thanks to a four-hole carryover…..the group walked up to the par-3 165 yard 17th hole at the PGA Stadium West course with a skin worth $175,000…..and that is when Trevino had the honors still from winning his skin on the 12th….and took full advantage it by sinking an ace and taking the jackpot….when in the instant-reaction interview, Trevino says, “When it was in the air, Jack said it was a pretty shot. Can’t get any prettier than that!”.
