This video seen herewith provides a wonderful look into a day spent in New York City by the Romanian women’s gymnastic team during their stay while performing in a USA – Romania gymnastics exhibition…. as ABC’s Jim McKay covers the activities of the team while touring The Big Apple. As I write this post, I can only imagine what it was like for these world class gymnasts…..who ranged from 14 years to 19 years old from the Eastern bloc country of Romania…..and what it was like to be on the streets of New York City ….and as only he could do, Jim McKay makes the day seem like a childlike stroll through the magical sights and sounds of The Big Apple…..with a special stop Fao Schwartz world famous toy store at Rockefeller Center…..for nobody is more “elegant and eloquent” in their delivery of a story than the legendary sportscaster.
