We here at ImaSportsphile feel really fortunate to have so much footage of gymnastics coach Bela Karolyi …..cuz he molded the two most notable and historic women’t gymnast to ever grace a gymnastic competition….Nadie Comaneci and Mary Lou Retton…..The Perfect 10 and The 1st American….for the truth be told….until Simone Biles came along…..there have never been more than the standard set by both of these superb athletes.
Our Bone Daddy, The original Sportsphile, saw Mary Lou win her gold at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games…..as he refers to this trip as his “Holy Grail” of sports experiences….as The Original (BD)…..set an Olympic Record (fan) by seeing a live event in all 26 sports participated in the L A Games…..IT CAN ONLY BE TIED….so, when a post comes up on an event that The Original was at…..it moves to “rare diamond” status here at ImaSportsphile.
