There is a famous country song that says if you are going to play music in Texas….you just gotta have a fiddle in the band…..and Texas has put out some incredible fiddlers….but none any better than Johnny Gimble….who was truly an Austin icon….playing with all the many great Austin musicians….Willie Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Dan del Santo, Jerry Jeff Walker, et al….but this lil ole Chiweenie favorite group that he played with was the Texas Swing Pioneers….cuz the fiddle was just made for Texas swing music. This video shows all the old timers still making really good music.
