In this video seen herewith….longtime General Manager of MLB’s Brooklyn Dodgers and St Louis Cardinals, Branch Rickey introduces an animated film excerpt from Saint Louis Cardinals – The Movie…. which was a compilation of 109 years of St Louis Cardinals baseball….as this excerpt is an animated song titled “The Kid Hears Music In His Ears…..which depicts the story of a young farm boy who developed his pitching skills throwing different kinds of pitches (fastball, curve, slider, knuckleball, etc) by throwing off a mound that he made with farmyard dirt…..while throwing against a stone wall behind the barn.   First of all, this video is a great piece of St Louis Cardinals baseball memorabilia…..plus a one-of-a-kind animated video that continues to exhibit the vastness and the rare qualities of our MLB section here at ImaSportsphile….which is simply just another “nugget of gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories here at our site….and it is well worth the price of admission.
