MLB – 1985 All Star Game – The Metrodome – 9th Inning & Post Game

DOG ASIDE:

This 9th inning of the 1985 MLB All Star Game played at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minniapolis features the National League’s best closer, San Diego Padres P Goose Gossage….as he comes in and shuts down the final at bat for the American League squad to conserve a 6 – 1 National League win. In this inning alone, the viewer gets to watch future Hall of Fame Members Tim Raines, Rynne Sandberg, Wade Boggs and Jim Rice bat….and P Goose Gossage pitch….who could ask for more.

The post game features NBC’s Len Berman interviewing N Y Yankees slugger Don Baylor and Chicago White Sox Manager Tony LaRusso….which is followed by NBC’s Phil Stone interviewing Detroit Tigers P Jack Morris and Milwaukee Brewers OF Paul Molitor, a future Hall of Fame Member…..and then the game is wrapped-up by NBC’s soon to be legendary sportscaster Bob Costas.

All the 9th inning action and the post game coverage is something worth watching again.
