Charlie Fox was an Major League Baseball manager….general manager….scout….coach…. and briefly a catcher….who as the manager of the National League West Division champion San Francisco Giants in 1971….was named “Manager of the Year” by The Sporting News magazine.
In April 1983….legendary baseball broadcaster Mel Allen showcased Fox taking over the reigns of the Chicago Cubs on his weekly This Week In Baseball program…..as seen in this video herewith.
