DOG COMMENTARY:

MASH….which is stylized as M*A*S*H on the poster art….is a 1970 American satirical black comedy war film directed by Robert Altman and written by Ring Lardner, Jr…..which was based on Richard Hooker’s novel MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors….as the picture is the only theatrically released feature film in the M*A*S*H franchise….which became one of the biggest films of the early 1970’s for 20th Century Fox…..as the film depicts a unit of medical personnel stationed at a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) unit during the Korean War….with a subtext that is about the Vietnam War.

M*A*S*H stars Donald Sutherland, Tom Skerritt and Elliott Gould….with Sally Kellerman, Robert Duvall, René Auberjonois, Gary Burghoff, Roger Bowen, Michael Murphy….and in his film debut, professional football player Fred Williamson….who provide the viewing audience with so many wonderful scenes in this movie….like the wish of death and ceremony for Painless…..the trip to Seoul by Hawkeye and Trapper to work on the congressmen’s son…..the football game with brigade….the women’s shower with Hotlips….as this movie is a classic which will always bring a smile to your face.
