CharlIe Daniels is an American multi-instrumentalist, lyricist and singer….who is known for his contributions to country, bluegrass and Southern rock music. He is perhaps best known for his number-one country hit “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”…..as Daniels has been active as a singer and musician since the 1950’s.  He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on January 24, 2008….the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009…..and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.

The Charlie Daniels Band was one of the original musical groups with national recognition to play on Austin City Limits back in 1978…. since ACL had first aired in 1976/1977….and the live crowd along with the entire music culture of Austin….“The Live Music Capital of the World”….just loved this rendition of “People in Texas Don’;t Care If the Sun Don’t Shine”.  Not even sure that the actual name of this song….but that’s what I named it….and being an ole Texas girl, I like the song alot!!!
