As we listen to Ray Charles sing “Lord Keep Me Singing” while in concert live at Austin City Limits in 1980….we realized how much we identify with the words of the song…..which causes us to chime in with the request in the title and the words of the song….cuz we agree, “Lord, let Brother Ray keep on singing”. The truth be known…..we here at ImaSportsphile don’t thing there has ever been another Ray Charles….as we feel that God threw the mode away when He made Brother Ray….for this man’s genius in music….be it soul, rhythm and blues, jazz, country, gospel, pop or rock n roll…..it really didn’t matter…..for when Ray Charles put his touch to any song from any genre…..it simply made dang near every one who heard his sing say….”Lord keep him singing”.
The fact is that we are “tickled pink” to have such a wonderful array of Ray Charles’ musical talent on display in the many Brother Ray videos that we have here at ImaSportsphile…..as each and every one of them are “nuggets of gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories…..which we know will be appreciated for years and years into the future…..cuz this man and his music never grows old.
