Music – 1980 – Sarah Vaughn – Ive Got It Bad And That Aint Good – From Kennedy Center Salute To Duke

I Got It Bad And That Ain’t Good was written and recorded in 1941 by Duke Ellington…..along with another great song during that year….as Take The A Train gave Duke two smash hits in that year….and then in 1980, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts put on a very special night billed as Salute to the Duke ….which featured such jazz greats a Sarah Vaughan, Joe Willliams, Ella Fitzgerald, drummer Max Roach,  and Billy Taylor and his Orchestra et al….for we at ImaSportsphile are so glad to have this video in our treasure chest of vintage memories…..I mean…..Ms. Sarah Vaughan singing a Duke Ellington classic I Got It Bad and That Ain’t Good…..as only Sarah can sing….cuz it take certain voice with sufficient depth and soul….as Ms. Vaughan could do so well.  This is absolutely great jazz music…..sung by this  awesome voice….while being well worth the price of the ticket.
