Music – 1982 – Roy Orbison – Oh Pretty Woman – Live On Stage In NYC – With John Belushi

Oh, Pretty Woman” or “Pretty Woman is a song recorded by Roy Orbison….which was written by Orbison and Bill Dees…..and was released as a single in August 1964 on Monument Records….where it spent three weeks at # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100….which was also the second single by Orbison to top the US charts….plus, it was also Orbison’s third single to top the UK Singles Chart….also for a total of three weeks…..as the record ultimately sold seven million copies and marked the high point in Orbison’s career.  Within months of its release, in October 1964, the single was certified gold by the RIAA….and at the year’s end, Billboard ranked it the # 4 song of 1964. “Oh, Pretty Woman” was eventually the basis for the 1990 film Pretty Woman starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts….as well as the 2018 Broadway musical Pretty Woman: The Musical

Considering all of that….when you put comedian John Belushi into the scenario of impersonating Roy Orbison…..while singing the song “Oh, Pretty Woman”…..and you’ve got a video that is well worth the cost of admission…..for this video is simply hilarious.
