The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band from San Jose, California…..who have been active for five decades….with their greatest success coming in the 1970’s….as the group’s current lineup consists of founding members Tom Johnston (guitars, vocals) and Patrick Simmons (guitars, vocals), veteran member Michael McDonald (keyboards, vocals), longtime member John McFee (guitars, pedal steel, violin, backing vocals) and touring musicians including John Cowan (bass, vocals), Bill Payne  (keyboards), Marc Russo (saxophones), Ed Toth (drums) and Marc Quiñones (percussion).   

As seen in this video herewith….the Doobie Brothers perform “Rocking Down The Highway” live on stage at their Farewell Concert in 1983.

He never left the state ! Number 2, He was as famous in the city of Chicago in HS as he is now with all NFL fans !!O’yea, he has been married to his HS girl friend now for over 50 years.
