Music – 1985 – The Oak Ridge Boys – Star Spangled Banner – World Series Game 7

DOG COMMENTARY:

After posting 2300 videos here at ImaSportsphile over the past….one of my true joys comes from posting the many varied reditions of the United States National Anthem….Star Spangled Banner….for it is a honored tradition at the start of every major sporting event in the country….to  stand….place your right hand across your heart….and sing the Star Spangled Banner.

It is my understanding that in our Star Spangled Banner section of ImaSportsphile will eventually feature some 75 different singers…entertainers…..and artists…..which means 75 different interpretation….and as I began to think about this….I realize that is what makes the USA so unique.  There is no other place on Earth where individuality and independent thinking is so apparent than 75 different Americans singing the same notes and words in the song 75 different ways.

This particular Star Spangled Banner performance is one of my very favorites….cuz these cats were really good….with harmony flowing over the brim…..as evidence by the Oak Ridge Boys being live at Game 7 of the 1985 MLB World Series….and it doesn’t get any better than that.
