Delbert McClinton is the unquestionable King of Roadhouse Blues in and around the State of Texas….especially the closer you get to Austin….which is known universally as the Live Music Capital of the World.
On any given night of the week….and throughout the year….there are a minimum of over 300 music groups and band performing in Greater Austin….and nobody draws more “pretty women” than Delbert….as the “Texas Fillies” just love to come out and dance to his unique Texas blues sound. Simply put, McClinton is like thebest draw for “Ladies Night” around….so, when a music fan goes out to hear some rockin’ good music….coupled with the “Best Scenery” to be found….it makes for an enjoyable night.
This performance of I’m Doin’ My Best To Get Back To You was performed on Saturday Night Live in 1987….as the New York crowd just loved having him on stage that evening.
