Music – 1987 – The Pretenders – Gonna Make You Notice (Brass In Pocket) – Put To MLB Great Plays Highlights

DOG ASIDE:

The Pretenders are a British-American rock band formed in Hereford, England, in March 1978….in which the original band consisted of initiator and main songwriter Chrissie Hynde on lead vocals and rhythm guitar…. James Honeyman-Scott on lead guitar, backing vocals and keyboards….Pete Farndon  on bass guitar and backing vocals….and Martin Chambers on drums, backing vocals and percussion.  Following the drug-related deaths of Honeyman-Scott and Farndon….the band has experienced numerous subsequent personnel changes….with Hynde as the only consistent member….and Chambers returning after an absence of several years.  Hynde launched a solo career in 2014 and the Pretenders were dormant as a band between 2012 and 2016…..however, The Pretenders are once again active, having issued an album and toured in 2016.

This Pretenders song….Brass In Pocket….is better known as Gonna Make You Notice….which fits perfectly with these great MLB highlights of outstanding plays made on the fields of play….as it is one more “nugget of gold” in our music in sports treasure chest of videos where music syncs up with Sports.
