There are certain singer / comedian / entertainers that are far more entertainers than they are singers and comedians….and The Divine Miss M is one of those artists……for her was a woman who had “great pipes”….who could sing like an angel while telling a story like when she sings “Shiver Me Timbers”….while making her crowd laugh while singing and performing “I’m Just A Walking Piece of Art”….but oh my heavens how this gal could entertain….for she had the talent to bring her audiences to crescendos of joy and enterainment like she does with her rendition of “Take Me To Paradise”.
In a career spanning almost half a century….Bette Midler has won three Grammy Awards….four Golden Globes….three Emmy Awards….and a special Tony Award…..as she has sold over 35 million records worldwide….receiving four Gold, three Platinum, and three Multiplatinum albums by RIAA.….for Midler is currently appearing on Broadway in a revival of Hello, Dolly!….which began preview performances on March 15, 2017….and will premiere at the Shubert Theatre on April 20th.It is her first leading role in a Broadway musical.at 72 years old..
Bone Daddy saw Bette Midler live in concert on three different occasions….saying she was a wonderful combination of Sophie Tucker, Mae West and Judy Garland…..who in the course of an evening could bring tears to your eyes with the stories she told and song….and in the very next minute….make your sides split with laughter….for this Miss M was truly Divine….and always worth watching agian…cuz she will always entertain you….no matter how many times you watch.
