Music – Ray Charles – Gonna Be A Bright Sun Shiny Day & She’s Long Gone Now & Tell Me What Did I Say

The incomparable Ray Charles performed at Austin City Limits on three (3) different occasions….in 1980, 1984 (as seen in this video herewith) and for the 1997 ACL Legends classic….and on each occasion….the man and his music brought the house down….for my Bone Daddy was at Brother Ray’s 1980 performance….saying that even in a small venue like the ACL stage, the music was so energetic and inspiring.

Brother Ray sings some of his all time classic songs with “five female generators” The Rayettes in this video herewith…..starting off with an awesome rendition of “It’s Gonna Be A Bright Sun Shiny Day”…..followed by one of his most popular country music songs in his repertoire “She’s Long Gone Now”  ….which he finishes off the set with a wonderful version of the famous soul song “Tell Me What Did I Say”.….for any way that you cut the pie….this is a video worth watching over and over again.
