For any basketball fan of NBA players from the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s….this video provides a walk down memory lane like no other…..as the introduction of the players participating in the 1987 All Star Saturday Night Legends Game could not be any more nostalgic than having Celtics legends Red Auerbach and Bill Russell  introduce such players as “The Big O” Oscar Robertson, who had a season where he averaged a triple double…..and the Knicks floor magician Walt “Clyde” Frazier…..along with the Warriors “king of under-handed free throws” Rick Barry…. plus the most flamboyant player with the ball in his hands to ever play the game in the Jazz’ Pistol Pete Maravich….to include the Celtics Little Magician Bob Cousy during his 13 All Star selection and 6 NBA championships….along with the Warriors incredible rebounder Nate the Great Thurmond….and the indomitable Tommy Heinsohn, who was a member of the Boston Celtics organization for over 6 decades and all 21 NBA championships….and so many more legends of the game.

Simply put, there are just too many wonderful memories….with every introduction of each of the players in the 1987 All Star Legends Game

  • The Murmanschanns, what a duo, I remember them from this show, the Muppets, Sesame Street and other shows. They are the most unique mime artists to grace this Earth. I thought they were amazing and these two routines prove it.
