The 1987 Texas Longhorns football team represented the University of Texas at Austin in the 1987 NCAA Division I-A football season. The Longhorns were coached by David McWilliams and finished the regular season with a 6–5 record….which ended on a high note as they defeated  Pittsburgh University in the Astro-Bluebonnet Bowl…by a score of 32 – 27.

The 1987 Texas Tech Red Raiders football team represented Texas Tech University in the Southwest Conference (SWC) during the 1987 NCAA Division I-A football season….in their first season under head coach Spike Dykes….as the Red Raiders compiled a 6–4–1 record (4–3–1 SWC)….finishing in 4th place in the conference….while outscoring opponents by a combined total of 315 to 266….as te team played its home games at Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.

This game seen herewith was played on October 31. 1987 (Halloween in America) at Memorial Stadium in Austin, TX in front of 74,986 fans….as the Horns posted 41 – 27 victory….but like all Texas verses Tech games….it is typically a hard-fought battle by both teams…and this year was no exception.

  • The Murmanschanns, what a duo, I remember them from this show, the Muppets, Sesame Street and other shows. They are the most unique mime artists to grace this Earth. I thought they were amazing and these two routines prove it.
