NCAAM Basketball – 1978 – N I T Finals – Texas Longhorns Vs NC State Wolfpack – 2nd Half

DOG COMMENTARY:

When you watch this video….it becomes obvious how good the Texas Longhorns were….as they confidently dictated the game in every aspect….cuz as a cohesive basketball team, they were brilliant….at both ends of the court….for their match-up zone defense took the Wolfpack completely out of their game….as the Horns frustrated the NC State offense on dang near every possession….whereas on the offensive end of the court….the Longhorns put on a clinic of team basketball with G Johnny Moore directing every well defined element of the Texas offense…..while distributing the ball to G Ron Baxter, C Gary Goodner, G Jim Krivacs and F Tyrone Branyon…..making it impossible for the Wolfpack defense to cover a well-oiled machine.

This 1978 University of Texas men’s basketball team was a special college team….who played in the image of their coach….who like “Southern comfort food” didn’t look quite as good as the “gourmet kind” …but the minute you took a bite of them….you knew they were good.
