NCAAW Basketball – 1985 – Special – Best Player In Womens College Basketball – USC Cheryl Miller

DOG COMMENTARY:

In addition to being one of the all-time best women’s collegiate basketball players….Cheryl Miller is currently the women’s basketball coach at Cal State LA….and a former sportscaster for TNT….as she performs duties as a sideline reporter for NBA games on TNT Sports….plus she also works for NBA TV as a reporter and analyst having worked previously as a sportscaster for ABC Sports, TBS Sports and ESPN. She was also head coach and General Manager of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury.

In 1995, Miller was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts….and in 1999, she was inducted into the inaugural class of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, located in Knoxville, Tennessee.  On August 20, 2010, Miller was also inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame for her success in international play.  She is the sister of retired NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller and former MLB catcher Darrell Miller.

Back in the day of this video, there were not many collegiate men’s players that would even dare taking her on in a one-on-one or a game of h*o*r*s*e….cuz this girl had game….plus she was big enough to handle the men just fine…..so, this video is a great piece of NCAA Women’s Basketball history….and a prized “nugget of gold” in our treasure chest of vintage memories.
