NFL – 1967 Green Bay Packers – Part 2

DOG COMMENTARY:

The Green Bay Packers were the gold standard of the NFL from 1959 through 1967…..during the years that legendary Coach Vince Lombardi was at the helm…..while having legendary quarterback Bart Starr guiding his offense against the ranks of the best defenses the NFL could offer….the Fearsome Foresome of the Los Angeles Rams, the Doomesday Defense of Dallas Cowboys and the Purple People Eaters of the Minnesota Vikings.

The 1967 season was the final year of the Packer Dynasty under Coach Lombardi…..with a team that although losing Hall of Fame players FB Jim Taylor and RB Paul Hornung to the New Orleans Saints the year before….still had a nucleus of Hall of Fame players on offense with QB Bart Starr, OG Jerry Kramer and OT Forrest Gregg….while on defense having DT Henry Jordan, DE Willie Davis, S Willie Woods, CB Herb Adderly, LB Ray Nitschke and LB Greg Robinson….so, this team was still loaded with all-time great players…..who although losing 4 games and tying 1….they still made it to the Big Dance and won Super Bowl II over the Oakland Raiders 33 – 14.

  • The Murmanschanns, what a duo, I remember them from this show, the Muppets, Sesame Street and other shows. They are the most unique mime artists to grace this Earth. I thought they were amazing and these two routines prove it.
