Steve Bartkowski is a former American football quarterback in the NFL….who played for the Atlanta Falcons from 1975 – 1985….and the Los Angeles Rams in 1986….for Steve Bartkowski was chosen with the first overall pick in the 1975 NFL Draft….ahead of Walter Payton…. by the Atlanta Falcons….and was selected byt The Sporting News as the NFL Rookie of the Year.  He was the first client of sports agent Leigh Steinberg….for Bartkowski is one of ten quarterbacks in NFL history who have achieved consecutive 30-touchdown passing seasons (1980 and 1981) at least one time in their career….and was also selected to the Pro Bowl after both the 1980 and 1981 seasons….while being selected 2nd Team All-NFC following the 1980 campaign….then he led the NFL in passing in 1983 with a passer rating of 97.6….. as he set the record for consecutive games with at least three touchdown passes at home with five…. which he established over the 1980 and 1981 seasons…..which was a record that was held until the 2004 season….when it was surpassed by Peyton Manning. 

Alfred Jackson was the fortunate receiver to catch the last second….last play Hail Mary pass from Atlanta QB Steve Bartkowski in the New Orleans Superdome of this 1978 NFL’s greatest plays of the decade play as seen in this video herewith.  Alfred Jackson played 7 seasons with the Atlanta Falcons with Bartkowski as his QB from 1978 to 1984.
